These terms are an agreement between you and Saint Lock ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using the Saint Lock app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What Saint Lock is

Saint Lock is a Catholic prayer app that helps you build a daily prayer habit. You choose apps to block, and at your scheduled prayer times those apps stay locked until you complete a short prayer in Saint Lock. The app also tracks your prayer streaks and offers prayers, reflections, and scripture.

App blocking is a tool, not a guarantee

Blocking is provided by Apple's Screen Time frameworks. It can be turned off by you at any time in your iPhone's Settings, and it may not work if Screen Time permission is revoked, after certain iOS updates, or in other situations outside our control. Do not rely on Saint Lock to restrict access in an emergency or for anyone's safety. Saint Lock is not a parental-control product.

Spiritual content

Prayers, reflections, and saint quotes are offered as an aid to personal devotion. Saint Lock is an independent app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Catholic Church, the Holy See, or any diocese, parish, or religious order. Nothing in the app is a substitute for the sacraments, spiritual direction, pastoral care, or professional counseling.

Subscriptions and payment

• Some features require a paid subscription. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store. Apple handles all billing and refunds.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current period.

Free trials

If a free trial is offered, you get full access to premium features during the trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and you are charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose, not to copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its content, and not to reverse-engineer or tamper with the app except where the law permits.

Our content

The Saint Lock name, design, software, original reflections, and artwork are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law. Traditional prayers and scripture are not ours and remain free for everyone.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Ending your use

You can stop using Saint Lock at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top and, for material changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Saint Lock after a change means you accept the new terms.
